Jakyra Simpson (Ky the Chemist) from the Yan Yu group hosted a variety of sessions teaching about the Chemistry of sneakers. Yesterday she hosted a session for the IU Prep Academy! She is trailblazing a new way to combine hip-hop, chemistry, and sneakers! Jakyra Simpson collaborated and hosted sessions for students in Indianapolis and taught them about hydrophobicity and how it applies to our skin. Students were also to create their own body scrubs.
